Is QuataPay a bank?
QuataPay is a payment platform operating under the CEMAC framework with Regulated Financial Institutions. Customer balances are held in safeguarded accounts with a Regulated Financial Institution — your money is never on our own balance sheet.
Which fees apply?
P2P wallet-to-wallet transfers are free. Agent cash-in / cash-out follows the published tariff. Merchants pay 0.8% POS and 1.0% online. See the full fee schedule on the Pricing page.
Can I send money outside Cameroon?
We support remittance corridors across the CEMAC zone today, with USD / EUR receive-side beta in selected markets. International outbound is on the roadmap.
How do I become an agent or onboard as a merchant?
Open a personal wallet first, complete KYC, then apply to upgrade from your dashboard. Approval typically takes 24–48 hours after document review.
Is my data safe?
Every login is rate-limited; sensitive PII is encrypted at rest with blind-index lookups; transactions require PIN or 2FA. We publish our security posture and incident response policy on the Security page.
