How paying a merchant works
To pay a shop that accepts QuataPay, open Pay in the app and scan the QR on their counter, or type the merchant's @handle. If the merchant has set an amount, it is filled in for you; otherwise you enter it. You check the total and confirm with your PIN, the money moves from your wallet to the merchant, and you get a receipt with a reference number.
On a website that offers QuataPay checkout, you are sent to a payment page hosted by QuataPay, approve the payment, and return to the store. If you return something, the merchant can refund the payment to your wallet from their dashboard.
You pay from your wallet balance, so add money first from MTN Mobile Money or at an agent. Merchants who want to take QR payments can see how it works on the QR payments page.
